Perennial Ryegrasses

• Professional Select has shown excellent high and low temperature stress tolerance throughout the range of perennial ryegrass adaptation.
   
•  Professional Select is an excellent choice for athletic fields and fairways, as well as being an excellent choice for both greens and tees.
   
•  Professional Select has a dark green color that looks good even when fertilizer levels run low. This blend also transitions out well.

• 35% Applaud or Windstar
• 35% Jet or Morning Star
• 30% Integra or Shining Star

Occassionaly other Turf Type varieties may be included in this Professional Mixture. Some mixtures may include Applaud, Integra or other Pennington TT varieties.

*Other turf type varieties or percentages may be substituted due to crop production or availability limitations at time of packaging.  We do attempt to keep the varieties included updated as frequently as possible but cannot guarantee exact varieties listed will be included in blend. BT varieties may be different - Jet and Morning star, Applaud, Integra are used in some blends.

Seeding Rates:

• GREENS:  25 - 35 lbs / 1000 sq. ft
   
• TEES AND APRONS:  15-25 lbs./1000 sq. ft.
   
• FAIRWAYS:  300-400 lbs. / acre
   
• ATHLETIC FIELDS:  10-20 lbs. / 1000 sq. ft.

Cutting Height:

• Greens:  3/16" to 5/16" mowing 5 to 6 times a week.
   
• Tees:  3/8" to 5/8"
   
• Fairways:  1/2" to 3/4" mowing 3 - 4 times a week.

Fertilization:

• Professional Select responds to 1/2 lb. Nitrogen per application.
   
• Repeat applications only as grass shows need due to fading color.
   
• 5 to 10 lbs. Nitrogen per 1000 sq.ft maximum per year.

The overall mowing quality at different heights of cut, along with its adaptation to different management regimes, resiliency from damage, and its manageable transition from ryegrass to bermudagrass make this an ideal formulation for any overseeding situation.

Professional Select is sold as regular PS variety blend, Tournament Quality Blend (TQ) and as "Blue Tag" Variety Blend (BT).  BT & TQ Blends are more expensive than regular PS variety.
