Alliance Blend Perennial Ryegrass.
Alliance provides a quality lawn for active
families. Excellent choice for most sun to light shade areas or
offers a natural setting for areas left un-mowed. Excellent in the
south for overseeding bermuda or other warm season grasses in the
fall.
The components in Alliance
are usually 33% of three of the following four turf quality
perennial ryegrass varieties:
- Citation Fore
- Silver Dollar
- Gray Star
- Manhattan IV (occasionally
used)
(Note: Varieties included subject to
change.) Varieties and percentages in this mixture subject to
change due to availability.
Endophyte enhanced:
The components of Alliance have endophyte levels which improve
resistance to above-ground feeding insects and are found to
enhance heat and drought stress tolerance.
Establishment
and maintenance:
Alliance germinates and establishes quickly, and will show
good dark green color in 14 days. The first mowing should take
place in about 21 days, or when the grass blades are 1/3
longer than the desired cutting height. Limited use of the
area can be expected in 28 to 30 days. |

Available in 10
& 50 LB sizes. |
Fertilization rate:
Apply 3-6 lbs. of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. per season. Due to its
naturally very dark green components, Alliance should require less
fertilizer than is customary for perennial ryegrass.
Seeding Rates:
If Establishing a New Lawn: 8-10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
If Overseeding Your Existing Lawn: 6-8 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
