Alliance Plus combines the strengths of two outstanding
turfgrass species in a premium mix of 80% turf-type perennial
ryegrasses and 20% premium Kentucky bluegrasses. Very compatible
in color, texture, and maintenance requirements, this mix is
widely adapted to a broad range of climates. With better
uniformity and overall density, Alliance Plus provides an extra
measure of quality over traditional 100% perennial ryegrass
blends.
Alliance Plus Seed Blend Uses
Ideal for home lawns, commercial turf, and sports turf
applications, Alliance Plus is a dark green mix with quick
establishment. With a compact, low growth habit, Alliance Plus
affords a well-groomed appearance for 'high end' turf quality. |

Soil, Climate, & Fertility Requirements For Alliance Plus Grass
Alliance Plus performs best in a wide range of soil types with a
pH of 6.0 to the high 7's. Best adapted to cooler moderate
climates, Alliance Plus also tolerates the high, dry heat of the
High Desert and Great Basin areas of the West. At an annual rate
of 4 to 6 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft., Alliance Plus
provides a quality turf with excellent color and good vigor. A
fertilizer ration of 3:1:2 (NPK) is recommended for most
locations.
Establishment Of Alliance Plus Grass Seed
In full sun and under normal growing conditions, Alliance Plus
requires about 10-14 days to complete germination and about 6
weeks to establish full coverage. It should be mowed when the new
turf reaches a height of approximately 3 inches. Alliance Plus may
be mowed from 1 to 2.5 inches tall.
Seeding Rates For Alliance Plus Grass Seed Blend
If Establishing a New Lawn: 6-8 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
If Overseeding Your Existing Lawn: 4-5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
