Anaconda was developed by a leading Dutch breeding
program. It is resistant to mildew and crown rust and is very
persistent. It has excellent compatibility with legumes and
out performs Alfalfa and Orchardgrass in providing digestible dry
matter and crude protein. Anaconda is safe for horses and is
used for all classes of livestock.
Life of Anaconda depends on temperatures and location
planted. In cooler Northern State areas it can be a mid-range
perennial, living 4-5 years. Anaconda should NOT be used in
warm seasons areas (Southern States) with the expectation that it
will be a Perennial. In warm areas it would perform the same
as annuals and die out with summer heat. You should plant an
improved forage annual in warm areas.
Plant 30-40 lbs / Acre.
