Uses for
Catalina II:
Catalina's extremely dark
color may be used for color contrast against other varieties
and species. Examples are: Outlining tees, greens and
fairways; multi colored landscape areas, or delineating
playing fields. Catalina II is also useful in home lawns, sod
production, erosion control on slopes wherever perennial
ryegrass is preferred. |

CATALINA

FROM SEEDLAND |
Catalina II will add rich color to ryegrass blends, and
mixes well with Kentucky bluegrass and fine fescue. Catalina
should be used as a 20-30% component with Kentucky bluegrass.
Establishment and Maintenance
Catalina II germinates and establishes quickly, and will show good
color in 14 days. The first mowing should take place in about 21
days, or when the grass blades are 1/3 longer than the desired
cutting height. Limited use of the area can be expected in 28 to
30 days. Catalina can be mowed at 1/4" and less for winter greens
and tees in the South.
Fertilization Rate:
Apply 3-6 lbs. of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. per season. Due to its
naturally very dark green color, Catalina II should require less
fertilizer than is customary for perennial ryegrass.
