There are both annual and perennial improved varieties of ryegrass.  Varieties are improved for both forage usage and lawn use.  The varieties listed below are just a few from a large category of 100's that have been developed.

DO NOT PLANT LAWN VARIETIES FOR FORAGES - Make sure the variety you plant is an endophyte safe variety - intended for pasture use.  Many of the newer turf type lawn varieties should NOT be planted for forages.
